My Parental Unit of the Female Kind

This last week my sweet Grandma came over and we planted our garden. I am so happy that I will actually be here while it's growing and I get to be the one to take care of it :)
We have a bunch of herbs (dill, parsley, cilantro, and basil) and we also planted lettuce, tomatoes, beans, bell peppers, banana peppers (my favorite!!) and a couple other things I can't remember right now.
We still need to plant chard, carrots, and beets.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl that was unlucky in love.
She was having a hard time in this department.
Her WONDERFUL sister decided she needed a man in her life.
This sister got her her very own Prince Naveen.
A few years later she met a man.
(Enter Colby Crabtree)
They fell in love.
He proposed to her.
They will live happily ever after starting August 10th.

Talyn decided that she would pass down Prince Naveen to Bailie since she has her prince now :)
So sweet

I met up with my good friend Annie for lunch and it was SO good to catch up with her and her cute little girl Hallie.

A few days before Mothers Day I received a package in the mail.
It didn't say who it was to, it just had my address.
It was from Texas.
I thought maybe Dev had sent some paperwork back home or some things he didn't need.
It wasn't.

He knows me SO well! LOTS of candy, 2 movies, earrings and a necklace
He also got the kids new toothbrushes, bracelets, a water toy, and paddle boards for swimming this summer.
Thanks so much baby!!
We LOVE our gifts.

Speaking of swimming, the kids took swimming lessons for 2 weeks.
This is Zach, their teacher.

To sum up their time at swimming lessons, watch this video...

video

It was kind of a nightmare.
Ok, it WAS a nightmare.
They cried almost the entire time every single day.
Zach was such a trooper.
I think he went deaf in his right ear from all of the screaming.
He did a great job and was so patient with them...

I will say that because of swimming lessons both of them are more comfortable in the water and Bailie will put her head under the water and blow bubbles now.
That is saying a lot because if you know Bailie at all she HATES getting her head wet, even in the tub.
A big thank you to Zach for helping her with that!

On Mothers Day we went to church with my parents and spent the day with them.
It was lovely.
We relaxed outside and played with some of my new picture apps.
I am so grateful for my amazing Momma.
She is my hero for so many reasons.
She is one tough lady (Physically and mentally)
She is so positive ALL THE TIME.
She always makes time for me when I need her.
She is BEAUTIFUL inside and out.
She is a hard worker.
She is kind.
She is my best friend.

Our Week

Last week Bailie's "want" came true.
She got to have a play date with her boyfriend Desmond!!!

When I went to get Bailie from Preschool I picked him up too (his Mom is the preschool teacher).
Brek was the 3rd wheel.... Poor guy

We got Wendy's for lunch and brought it home with us.

They played with window markers

Played Guess Who

And they played Dora Dance on the Kinect.

Des is the sweetest boy to Miss B. They had a great time together and Bailie won't stop talking about how much fun she had when Desmond came over!!
When his mom came to pick him up, she didn't want him to leave and ran outside yelling "Love you Des!" and "I'll see you at school in 2 days"over and over again.
I think it was a success.

On Friday night, the kids and I met up with my Mother in law, Aunt Tammy, and Grandma Borgia for dinner. It was so much fun seeing them while they were in town for Women's Conference.
Thank you for all of you help at dinner :)

I got a text from my friend Rachel on Saturday morning inviting us to go to Kangaroo Zoo with her and her family... We had free a bunch of free admission passes to go (thank you Deveren and your trade work) so it was free!! Can't beat that right?
The kids always have the best time there

On Sunday we went to church then headed up to my parents' house to eat and spend the afternoon with them. We played outside in the backyard, and went on a nice walk around their ward boundaries.

Bailie was helping push Brek

Parents :)

Brek got sick and puked 2 nights in a row... He did A LOT of this yesterday

Bailie's good friend Cher turned 5 and had an ice cream sundae birthday party! They played games, ate lots of yummy ice cream, and made those cute necklaces out of bubble gum and ribbon!
Too cute

HOT. REALLY HOT.

First off, I just want to say how much I love my family. They really do mean the world to me. I found this picture on my phone and it's one of my favs. (We missed you Carter Family!) It's from Easter and we were up at my parents house chatting and playing tan outside. Such a fun day

Snuggling with Daddy the night before he left

Deveren left for Texas this past Saturday morning at 5am. He ended up driving straight through.
22 hours.
Poor guy. He is such a trooper though!
This week he has been doing awesome! A great first week of the summer.

We have been keeping ourselves busy... I have the greatest babysitters!
Thank you Brooke and Erin for all of your help this week!
I don't know what I'm going to do when you leave for college....

The kids have been having lots of fun together.

My sister (not blood related but we have adopted her), Haley Felton, was in the Miss Orem Pageant and I really wanted to go see her in action. So I brought my bestie Amy with me and we partied it up at Orem High School.

The name of Deveren's office is DRIVE... Represent.

The hose to our swamp cooler was busted so it wasn't working.

I have such amazing friends that offer to help out when my husband (who usually does the annoying projects) is gone. A BIG shout out to Ryan Ker for fixing my swamp cooler!! You are the bomb!

Speaking of friends, we had Tyson and Brigham over to play in the sprinklers...

 EXCITING NEWS ALERT:

Desmond popped the question at preschool on Wednesday!
Cutest Couple Ever.

Get who popped the question for reals????

COLBY!!!

YAY!

Talyn and Colby are engaged!
He proposed while the two of them were in St. George.
In a hot air balloon.
Yeah. I know.

For all of the juicy details, go HERE.
Congrats you guys! We are so thrilled!

St. George

The Thursday before Easter a few of my friends decided to go on a girls trip before all of our husbands left for the summer. (We totally deserve it!!!) Whitney's family has a house down there and so we were able to stay there. Thank you Robbins Family!
We drove down Thursday afternoon and got to St. George that night.

Lori, McKenzie, Whitney, Me

We woke up Friday morning, got ready, and went to get pedicures. Whitney's older sister, Nicole and her AMAZING family lives down there too, so she met up with us and spent most of the day with us!

Kenz was enjoying the massage chair.... A little too much :)

Our pedicures turned out horrible. But they look OK from far away

We went to the Mad Pita for lunch and it was Delish!
I got the fire chicken pita and it was to die for!

After lunch we went shopping at TJ Maxx, Old Navy, GAP, and Dick's Sporting.
I have some awesome videos from that... They are coming :)

After some shopping we decided to go to a movie. It was Spring Break down in St. George, by the time we got to the theater there were only 2 seats left in the movie we wanted to see (Mirror, Mirror) so we went to the Hunger Games. We had all seen it before so it was fun to go again. It was even better the second time!

The theater was packed so we had to split up.

This place has THE BEST sugar cookies I've ever had. We stopped by a few times while we were there.

SO SO GOOD!!

Lori enjoyed her 3 cookies and snow cone :)

After Swig we went home and got in our swimsuits and then headed over to Nicole's house to chill in their hot tub.
We ate dinner and hung out with them the rest of the night.

Saturday was our "lay out day" so we got up and threw on our suits.

Before going to the Alfano's house we went and got some lunch at Twentyfive Main Cafe.

This was my yummy turkey artichoke panini and salad

We spent a lot of our time with the Alfano gang (Nicole and her Family). They are the greatest people! Michael and Nicole were the best hosts ever! They made us TONS of food, brought us snacks, water, let us lay out in their backyard all day.... They are incredible!
Thank you Beautiful Alfanos! We love you!

We were out in the sun for 7 hours. I put sunblock (SPF 30) on one time at the beginning of the day....
I didn't get ANY SUN!!!
What the crap.
It made me angry.
Oh well, it was still so much fun!

All of us (with our crazy eyes) right before we left their house....

Sunday morning we got up early and drove home so we could be home for Easter with our families.
Thank you so much to the Robbins and Alfanos.
But, Thank you so much to Whitney, Lori, and McKenzie!!!! I had so much fun with you guys. We made so many great memories and I'm so glad I have all of you as friends!!
We need to do that more after the summer! Love you guys
